Marco Cattaneo, born in Milan in 1963 and graduated in physics, has been a journalist since 1992 and editor-in-chief of National Geographic Italy, National Geographic Traveler, Le Scienze and Mind. He has collaborated with national and foreign newspapers both as a journalist and as a photographer, and is the author or co-author of several popular science and travel books. He currently writes about science for Repubblica and has a science and environment column on Repubblica's Friday.
